  • A Hello and a question!

    HEYLLO! I saw your place on the roleplay server list... I cheaked your website out... and I like it.

    And uhh... I was about to apply for a character - I have a few questions the FAQ wouldnt answer.

    One: Why are there THREE classes? Something to do with the haks?

    Two: Where is shadowdancer, have you removed it?

    Three: Are you guys strict on where a character may have come from?

    That is all. >.>

    Uhm, three classes? If your talking about sumbiting application, theres acutally base classes for the first bar, and the other three contain prestige and base. Shadowdancer should be there... ANd Im not sure about number 3.

      Just guesses, but...

      #1. the person who made the application form didn't know/forgot that NWN2 allows 4 classed-characters;

      #2. the person who made the application form forgot about shadowdancers;

      #3. if you come from some place on Abeir Toril and can create a good story on how your character ended up in Sundren it should be fine... the more exotic, the stricter it should get (playing someone from Maztica, Kara Tur or Zakhara might be very very hard), but I think coming from other planes/settings might be pretty frowned upon if not outrightly refused.

        Actually there are 4 class selection options on the frorm, shadowdancer is an oversight.
        The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

          Thanks for the replies.

          Uhh... Shadowdancer is a oversight. Explain? o.o. and yeah, I mean the submitting applications. there IS Four... or something, in the application to make a character. I must've been too excited about finding this place to think straight.

          Oh, and about the any other place on Toril or so... I meant How strict are you on that? Could you actually make up a few lands? >.>
          Or is it strict enough that you can't do anything much on those terms?

            You must come from a pre-existing, official land. Coming from "a small village" where the title isn't mentioned, however, is fine.
            The lack of the Shadowdancer being selectable in the application is a mistake and it will be added eventually. The class is still open, however.

              Allright, thank you.
              -mutters, knowing nothing about FR and researches-

              Would Chondath be acceptable for just a random place to make a character's background in or something? I'm trying to find slightly remoter lesser-used places... but still able to live at somewhat. A place where you can bend the rules juust a bit in the terms of official stuff... As I think you said, a small town 'made up' ON a valid peice of OFFICIAL land!

              I need sugestions on what i'm looking for. Please help?
              Also.. gotta get to bed !

                  You could just call me Dare if you don't want to type out the whole thing.
                  But yeah... I went there, its pertty hard to find a place that would fit those peramiters that someone at Wiki would bother to put into the definition(s).

                  Where IS Icewind dale, anyway? I can't find the Sundren Wiki and They only give gaming info about Icewind Dale... Sorry for bugging you guys so much.

                  I just don't want to make you guys angry by picking a random spot that happens to be uninhabitable or something... ...

                    Icewind Dale is in the North West, on the far side of the spine of the world mountains.

                    >blushes slightly< I was equally ignorant about the FR setting, so went as far as to order the campaign setting book from Amazon....(fortunately it arrived in a plain wrapper, so my nerdiness remains unknown to the neighbours) if you want to PM me or MSN me I'll happily dig through the book to try to answer any questions.

                            Why would anyone choose to hide such a respectable hobby? D&D builds teamwork, problem-solving skills, mathmatics, reading comprehension, and creativity. But enough of that- between Nyssis and I, we have somewhere between 12 and 20 hardcover books of 3.0 or 3.5 Edition books (and a few Sword and Sorcery suppliments), and approximately 56 .pdf books from FR/Eberron/Grayhawk and various 3.5 suppliments avaliable to anyone with AIM or MSN.
