  • The Hin and the Shim

    A friend of mine the other day (about 3months ago) used the personal pronoun "shim" to describe a sexually ambigous man friend.

    That got me thinking about the sidetrack to BioH's portraits and the discussion on the evolution of elves gender appearance waif vs less ambiguous etc

    So elves ... "the Shim"
    halflings "the Hin"
    Orcs "the Dim(?)"
    Dwarves(?)
    Gnomes(?)

    any thoughts for a laugh? Can we get a set.

    and my fav elf joke:

    " Q: why do elves have pointy ears - A: there has to be some point to elves"

    I think i saw that one in Steve Jacksons Fighting Fantasy Sorcery Series. Classic.

        Humans could be 'the sim'?

        Come on people, surely D&D has a more interesting race than human?!

            Another elf joke, as told by dwarves:

            "Why are elves like trees?"

            "They make me want to take an axe to 'em."

            You're welcome.
            The poetry that comes from the squaring off between;
            and the circling is worth it, finding beauty in the dissonance.
