  • Any Linguists On The Server?

    Those well-versed in Russian, UNITE!

I feel as though I've donated too much time towards gaming and perhaps not enough time towards an actual skill. As I asked Tery (Unknown gamertag) on the server, I'm looking for anyone who knows a fair amount of Russian; I'll be Googling and scouring websites for podcasts and such, but another person to practice with who actually knows what's up wouldn't hurt.

Meh, I don't know Russian, but I do know Spanish and Portuguese fluently.

My experience is that the most important thing would be to find live, preferably native, speakers. For me, anyway, I need the most practice hearing and understanding when others speak. I have a lot more trouble understanding in Cuba than I do in Spanish class.
        Cheers,
        Dave

Yeah, I learn the best that way, too. With some of the people on the server overseas, I had some wishful thinking going on in the ol' noggin'.. hoped maybe there were some Eastern European natives around here.

            Oh well.

Word? I'm pursuing Russian right now since I've always had a little crush on her history and peoples.. Maybe if I find the ability to take on multiple languages, you could play tutor?

Hello (informal) something.. what's tovarisch? You capitalized it, so I'm going to assume it's a noun.. maybe a proper noun?
