I have had several people tell me the show is similar to The Borgias... which is currently the only show I am watching...
Very big Jeremy Irons fan.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
Game of thrones is great, still trying to figure out if some characters are bad or good...
My to-be toon: Shafiq Al-Mawt: Zakharan myrkulite.
My tomb of old toons: Cruven Schlachten - Blood Reaver of Garagos, Blackwood Company Elite, Hellstrom Head of Security Marcus Waynard- Horned Harbinger, fear his best bud Frank!... and Jim, Bob, Sue, and Jane... Davlamin Frostfoot - Frosty Snowflake, the Frozen Fist of Auril, sworn enemy of the Second Wind fire pit. Click here to see the full image of my avatar, by Algido.
i find the appeal (at least the novels) is how the characters are complex with many shades of grey (they are all pretty much bastards in their own way). Oh and the brutality the author shows to his lead characters on a regular basis. Very Brave!
The tv series looks amazing. i thought its screening was why sundren was quiet last week!
This is an extremely auspicious TV show compared to all other shows.

Love the books. The complex characters are awesome. No one is just "good" or "bad". You might think so, but then you come to understand their motives and can see why they did (or didn't do) what they did.
Only seen ep 1 so far and really enjoyed it. Stays pretty true to the books.

If I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.
I've only seen season one, but I thought the show was pretty good. I still stand to the opinion that the show isn't half what the books are. I am at the end of 4 now and I want MORE.
