  • Cornuto Reviews Movies: Let Me In

Seeing as this server has a general hard-on for vampires, I thought I'd recommend this movie. I'm snowed in by some icestorms, and decided to grab this on PPV to pass the time. Its the first vampire movie I've seen that didn't wander into emo lameness, goth porn, or B-Movie crap.

If you're in to vampires and such (I'm really not), its worth checking out as a good example of how beguiling and seductive (in a mostly non-sexual way) a monster can be to a vulnerable person.

    *Thumbs up!*

I saw "Let the right one in" which that movie was based on. It's actually what got me liking anything to do with vampires in the first place

      *Waits for GBX to reply*

I know he's seen this and all the remakes. Personally I thought this one was pretty good.

EDIT: See he's literally faster than me.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I've still been meaning to see it. I am a fan of horror movies.

Never really got into the vampire thing (beyond a liking off bad horror and hammer films in general - I blame a friends addiction to Vampire:TM, he took it faaaaar to seriously), but if your saying it's worth it, I'll give it a go.

Only vamp film I ever liked was Interview With a Vampire, or at least i think that was the name. None of the other vampire films ever stuck with me. And the gf falling in love with Twilight didn't help.

I'll be honest though, I have a soft spot for the cultured, immortal evil sorts.

I do vaguely recall a movie about dracula but I can't remember the name. The guy stays in Dracula's castle, and is seduced by twins who are actually siamese twins, I can't remember. It was back when I smoked, allllll the time.

See these ones, sooooo much better than interview with a vampire.

I thought interview with a vampire was kind of "LULS VAMPIRES", where they just become decadent and sit in shadows. Kinda boring. And it didn't help Loius was whining the whole movie about being what he was XD

I find I like books about vampires much better than movies.

I admit I am a fangirl for the Anita Blake vampire series. Just not the most recent ones where they devolved into mass orgies.

Nothin' wrong with orgies. Until you think about the pile of cold, dead, writhing, people flesh.

I kind of prefer werewolves. Because savagery and brutality are neat. Although Twilight hurt the Werewolf image too

Nobody likes oversized puppies that are secretly teenage hollister models.

They're, you know... The average joe, or gruff woodsman, who suddenly turns into a fuzzy, flea-ridden murder machine that wants nothing more than to tear through the forest making the little forest creatures piss themselves. While searching for stuff to slaughter.

                    But.... Meh.

Classy vampire films exist! 'Shadow of the vampire' is excellent.

                        Yes! Shadow of the Vampire!
Ok, surely someone besides me liked Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 version of Dracula with Gary Oldman??
