  • My Mode Bar is wonky!

I don't know how I managed to do it, but my Mode Bar is now halfway up the right side of my screen. I've tried everything I know to fix it: it cannot be manually moved (at least to my working knowledge of click-drag), and I've even made a new NWN2 folder altogether in an attempt to reset the UI.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the Mode Bar back into the lower right corner?

I have the same thing, I just use 'G' button to hide it when not in use.

Try changing your resolution to something smaller and then changing it back.

Just a wild guess, but who knows?

I have had the same problem everytime i reinstalled nwn2. The way i fixit is: go int the game and turn off mode bar. Exit game. Go to the nwn2 folder located in "my documents" folder. Look for the folder that says "ui" or something like that. Back up and move all files and folder in there to another location. Then proceed to delete all files and folders in the "ui" folder. Restart game. Turn on mode bar. It should appear at bottom right of screen again.

I've tried all these suggestions, and the Mode Bar is still stuck as pictured.

Mine was there for ages too. I had to lower my resolution to fix a graphics anomaly, and now it's back where it should be.

Mine has moved too. Resolution did nothing for me, even did complete reinstall once.

I posted a fix for this a while back... *goes to search*

Here is the URL but I pasted the need info below.
                  http://www.sundren.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14980

                  Open the following file.

                  My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\ui\default\guisettings.ini

Either scroll down or search for [modebar]

In my case with trial and error I set it to:
                  ypos-768=640
                  ...............^^^
The last number is the one you need to change, do not touch the other number.

You have to fiddle with that indicated number a bit and it will depend on your vertical resolution. In my case 128 less than the first number works fine for me.

Yep! Sypthe graciously and patiently went through all sorts of troubleshooting with me, and the solution was found right around the same time the post was made here.

HUGE MEGA AWESOME THANKS to everyone who even made suggestions, but SUPER DUPER MIND-BLOWING THANKS to Sypthe for being, well, awesome.
