well, seems I will not be playing for a while, my computer decided to finally quit out on me, after a major hard drive failure. so its going to be a bit before I am back up and running.

so back up and running now but for one exception

my NWN disks don't want to work. I took them in to get cleaned up and they still refuse to run so.... not sure what I can do now. gonna shop around for the new ones now, wish me luck.

Interesting. I had a quick look with google. There <i>might</i> be some difficulty getting replacement disks. I did come across a post in the Self-help forum on the Vault that had solution, maybe.

This person copied their disks to the hard drive and then installed from that, and it worked for them. Of course that won't help if your disks have gone bad, but it might be worth a try.

As long as you have your original key, just torrent it and get the ISO. The digital millenium act that recently changed has made it legal for you to own a backup of your games. So there isn't anything illegal about it.

Mount the ISO with Daemon Tools lite, install, and you're laughing -- best of all NWN2 with the latest patch no longer requires a disc to authenticate -- hence no crack needed.
