  • problems with trade tier

    Hey guys,

I am having some problems with trade tier, every time I go there I can't see the ground or the buldings, I can only see the npcs.

Any clue of what is it and how can I fix it?

    Thanks.

It's an issue with the Nvidia 197.xx drivers.

There is no fix currently, you'll need to roll back to a 196.xx version.

oh shit, I heard someone talking about that a time before, I didn't remember it was this, besides, my windows updated my driver automatically...

anyway, thanks a lot, I will roll back the driver when I get home

Hehe want to fix it? Roll back to the store you brought the card from and demand an ATI card :P.
Seriously though i remember a time many moons ago when i ran an internet gaming cafe and we had similar problems with the Nvidia cards we had...we ended up losing a ton of money waiting for Nvidia to fix the issue so we threw the lot out (some 45 odd cards) and brought new ATI ones, never had a problem after that.

ATI drivers are shit, I don't think nvidia has gone anywhere near that level of crap.

There's also a lot of things that ATI flat out doesn't support (32 + AA, accelerated jittered sampling, a true physics platform), not to mention the third party tools they have for ATI suck in comparison to team green.

I heard nVidia has the best drivers... well, this one might have some issue, but I am sure the next one will be better...

anyway, GeForce was cheaper when I bought this, and I really did my best to buy something that runs NWN2 even if it runs poorly

Hate ATI. So, so much. I'm used to Nvidia, but I bought a new laptop and now I see where the savings went.

What is this Catalyst garbage? Why doesn't it run? When it runs, why is it so hard for ATI to include a simple "Update" button?

I agree that the drivers for ATI are pretty average, thats why i use Omega drivers.

I got an ATI card with my new PC and it's been a bloody nightmare of a thing. I'll be getting one of the new Nvidia ones when I have some $$$
