In case anyone has been wondering where my wife's characters have been (Yasia, Mara...um...her new evil chick), They are all taking a slight rest. As some of you know, my wife has been in the hospital all weekend with a messed up disc in her lower back. We saw the neurosurgeon today and he gave us some new ...not too bad, but not good either,
Her disc id bulging inwards and pressing on the spinal cord. He has her scheduled for surgery tomorrow (though no one has told us what time yet
). The good part (well...at least the not-so-bad part) is that she won't need her spine fused. The doc is gonna go in and remove a small part of the disc to releave the pressure on the spinal cord. He is pretty sure this will stop her pain and numbness without needing the fusion. Not doing the fusing quickens the recovery time quite a bit. Supposedly, she will get to go home the day after the surgery and be up walking around in about 2 weeks (instead of 4-6 weeks for the fusion).
I'm trying to figure out a way to get the internet connection to the room so she can mess around on the game to keep her busy and help pass the laid up time. I have a wireless router and a wifi card on my daughter's comp, so maybe I can use that and move the girl's comp downstairs where the rest are now.
Anyway, figured I'd give those of you who have asked an update. Send her all sorts of positive vibes if you could.
