I'm not normally one for sharing links, but following on from the StrangeMaps link I posted before (and again here) I thought I'd toss Modern Mechanix out for folk to look at.

Stuff like this has always been a massive inspiration - at home I've got a few good books on victorian inventions (a lot of them brilliantly improbable), Mechanix here doesn't go quite that far back, but it's still inspiring stuff, and makes you realise that we really do live in good times.

Heh, weird stuff. Steampunk and anything along that vein really rocks my boat as well.

What inspires me can be as haphazard as the mail system - sometimes a picture, an odd story, a smell or a long forgotten tune can throw me into creative frenzy (yeah, everybody hum the "A-Team" theme with me now! I blame my coworker)
