I'd got to Faerun. If I was actually there, I could use my Earthly knowledge to try and earn a shit loads of money, buy brothels, and then buy Waterdeep. With Waterdeep I domesticate all monsters from Undermountain and use also other knowledge to slowly build up my empire and control all of it! Muhahahahaha!

The question is an interesting one, but I think we all sort of have our answer for us since we play this game. On some level we do wish we could slay dragons, shoot fire and lightning from our fingertips, and in general do things we cannot do in reality.

But by the same token, you have to wonder that if we were in such a place, wouldn't it be unlikely for us to be part of the 1% of the population that gets to do such things? As adventurers in NWN, we can reach epic levels of power with only relatively few hours of time devoted to it. But if we lived in such a world where dragons roamed the skies and dwarves and elves lived next door, you have to think that we probably wouldn't be so lucky. We would be peasants, or merchants, or hired guards that usually get stabbed by the hero as he makes his escape from an evil dungeon or something.

In all it sounds like fun, but unless you were lucky enough to live past the age of twenty it may not be the best idea. Theoretically speaking, of course.
