I must say that I really liked the special effects in that movie. However the plot was more than a bit simplistic and predictable.

Chara Smith-Bio Here
Meram- Yes she's a shifty Hin, but she's still not going to pickpocket, daylight robbery is much more profitable.

I actually enjoyed the movie a great deal. Movies are all about expectations, and if you went in to this one expecting Oscar winning performances, you may feel a tad disappointed. However, should you go in looking to be entertained and have a great time watching the hero beat the bad guy you would have had as much fun as I did.
Furthermore, I found it an interesting concept with the planet being some sort of computer, with certain access points to download and upload information biologically. That, and blue people are freaking sweet.Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

You numnuts, the very concept of that planet wasn't that it was a computer, it was supposed to be a brain. That's why they kept referring to the trees as synapses. The trees were like brain cells for their Goddess lady, who was an intelligent planet.Originally posted by Peridan View PostFurthermore, I found it an interesting concept with the planet being some sort of computer, with certain access points to download and upload information biologically. If you paid attention, my British tea drinking former captor, they also referred to it as being able to download and upload information like a computer as well.
So bite me =)Characters:

Still haven't seen it, so I can't really comment on the plot...
But! I did have the chance to go through a few big books of concept art and stuff, I'm impressed; given the brief the designers managed to never stray from the humdrum and familier.
Bless Hollywood and it's lack of risk taking, it's genereic furry design and jewelery that, despite appearing to have long straps and look very loose, never leaves the nipple it is designed to cover.
So, after bypassing the opportunity to flex some creative muscle what do we have? A steaming pile of furry wank material... While I look forward to seeing this film I think I'll avoid the back rows for fear of furry fwapping and crusty floors. It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Wont be dissappointed IMO; the digital 3D effects are pretty damn good!Originally posted by DM_Equinox View PostOff to see it tomorrow, myself.
Low expectations plot-wise, high ones effect-wise, I figure I should be okay.Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

Uh... am I the only one that finds it a bit weird that you're all talking about shagging (or wanking over) a blue, spotted alien creature that's about 9 feet tall and has cat eyes and a tail?
You guys weird me out.
No, seriously.Lorlen Locke: "Amazing how the righteous commit acts of tyranny and terror almost as beautiful as our own under their banner of "good". We merely call a spade a spade."
