You can install Daemon Tools and create a disk image (or *coughfindadummyimageonthewebcough*). I've done this on my laptop to save energy and the annoyance of Disc-jockeying.

Well, if you bought any of the NWN2 expansions, or Mysteries of Westgate as downloadable content, then the dvd check is no longer active. They authenticate online one time, then they are good to go, it's so painless I even did it in linux running NWN2 with wine.

I have both expansions, and it always does the DVD check.

Yeah.. only works that way if you purchased a downloadable version. I haven't tried, but I'd assume they perform an online legitimacy check like they did with the NWN1 downloadables? Which would mean you can't play even single player unless connected to the web.

Make sure the tools are running and the disks mounted. There is an "Auto-mount" setting somewhere that you need to enable
