Thanks everyone it means alot hearing that. Just sucks as a parent, I mean here I am 30 never been cut open and my 2 year old is going to get surgery? I know its not a major thing, and he will be better for it. Its still scary and one of those sucky parent things were I know my kid needs something I can't do, and am utterly powerless to help.

Its a tough one but surgery is easier when your young! Having a similar op in twenty years time could be much worse, It'll be over and he'll be back with you before you know it!Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

AVACODO...no wait that is wrong...Banana?...naw..YOU!!! *nods* that works.
Good to see you again, yeah I am just not taking it well at all. Tonsilitis, something by his nose so he breaths better, a biosie(sp?) of his throat and the drain things in his ears.
Also might have a heart murmer due to both of us do/did. So might make things MORE complicated like have to take meds for a week before operation.
He is a happy little one, yet all this....and the doctor said his voice will change

I had tonsillitis as a kid and got them out while in first grade. It hurt a good bit, but got better fast and I've had few throat problems since. While my voice got a little deeper, it works out for a guy.
Also had tubes put in my ear when I was two, but I hear just fine now. Never had a heart murmur though, but due to medications I had to take medicine before some of my surgeries . Just remember that it's a precaution, it doesn't necessarily mean something is going to go wrong.
I can't imagine how hard this is be for you, but it'll all pan out. Remember the words of the eternal Fonzie- "Aaaaay"

update:
going to have him get his heart checked again so he gets an okay for surgery on the 20th.
Then will have his tonsils, and adnoids removed and ear drain things installed. Last time they check his heart said he might need it fixed too.
thanks for the kind words. (and I hope this is the same topic I started).

My thoughts are with you POV, my kid going under general anesthetic was the hardest thing I've been through in my life and i've had some scary moments I can tell you.
You put your most precious possession in the hands of others and every parental base instinct is going crazy until the moment they are awake again and with you.
30 mins that seemed like a day. I drank 3 cups of coffee and changed chairs in the waiting room at least 20 times.
When he woke up again he was so pissed off, (drugs) but I was so happy I can't tell you.
Good luck, it's all for the best.If honour is truth and a lie is respect, then a secret is sacred.
Confide in me my friend and I shall love you like no other.
