Hi,

I used to be a dungeon master on here a long, long, long time ago back when the server was just starting. I left after a short while due to a mixture of technical issues that Neverwinter Nights II was giving my computer (it made the game literally impossible to play) along with some real life difficulties I was experiencing at the time. I'm not certain that I actually intend to come back and try playing on the server (it's currently impossible as I don't even have Neverwinter Nights II or a very powerful computer at this time), but it seemed nostalgic to drive by and see how things went for this place.

I'm very glad to see how well this place is doing and depending on how well I can do for myself in the next few months you may (hopefully) see me online once more, though I'm sad to say most of the people I knew and enjoyed roleplaying with will probably no longer be here. If I like it here I might try and stay seeing as how my latest adventures in roleplaying have been very unsuccessful (back on the old, rickety Neverwinter Nights ship) and this is one of the best (and funnest) places I've ever roleplayed in (and one of the only two I actually felt any sense of loyalty to). I'm not sure how things have changed, though, so maybe I should wait and see what is going on in game before I get high expectations. But I do remember Saulus (or at least I think I do!), and I'm glad to see he's still going at it. It gives me a reason to be hopeful, I suppose.

Anyway, it's nice to stop by. Hopefully the auto-mailer can stop bugging me, too!

Well, hopefully you can get things running again! We can always find a use for fresh mea- we always welcome new characters.

Hah. All of my characters probably got wiped from the vault at some point, so I guess it would be back to the start again if I give it a whirl. I'm not really complaining, though; it'll probably be the most fun that way.

Regardless, I take it Sundren runs on NWN II: MotB? Hopefully the combination of the expansion pack and a good number of patches will make it possible for me to reasonably play Neverwinter Nights II again. I don't know if I ever would've fully quit if the game hadn't become so thoroughly unplayable, which is sort of sad. It would be nice to have been here to see (and help) this place get to where it is now. I have some regrets, I suppose!

Anyway, I don't even have a gaming rig yet, so I'll have to see where fate takes me with that. It's out in my old place of residence, and I haven't had the resources or ability to move it.

Man I swear there's like 3 or 4 people from Nanaimo BC on this forum. Is it that bad to promote escapism in RP?

hehe well ethereal..as a new player at the server I'd like to welcome bk to the forums at least. People may have moved on but...we got some good folks on here. I mean really good rp and its fun and everything...all alignments are filled, with factions to boot. So dont be worried about finding friends...just beware...we piss paladins now I think...3-4 running around during prime time. Its a shame you prob dont have any toons left, i think a returning dm should warrant at least starting at lvl 5 for one toon rather than 3 8P anyways, for a taste of the rp hit the roleplaying section and read some of journal posts, we have some REAL talented writers.

To be honest, the more I browse the forums the more I really do want to jump on the boat again. Heh. We'll have to see, here's hoping that I can work things out in real life. I still need a gaming rig and whatnot. Plus I don't know how things are, seeing it for myself is always the best way to make a decision.

Also, I might remember you, Peridan, if you gave me some of your character names around the time.

Eck... well, so much for this! I tried very valiantly to reacquire my original hardware, but it seems at the moment it's stuck in limbo and I have no clue when I'll be capable of joining in the fun. Not for a few months, I'm told. Perhaps I'll resurface around then, we'll have to see.

I have to save for university, so I can't really go ordering new computers left, right, and center, especially to play a game that may or may not work on them. I have bad blood with Neverwinter Nights II and its technical problems. We'll see, though! I'm trying hard to figure something out, though I think the only system I have that can run Neverwinter Nights II is my gaming rig. And, as noted, I lack it at this time... so... yeah.
