  • Hail, fellow RPers of all sorts

Clyde Baneheart was a character I made for an RPG a long time ago, and the name stuck with me. So now I use it for all of my generic handles.

The first thing I have to say is kudos to the developers who did the testing and quality control on Sundren. Logging in for the first time last night and doing a few of the 'postage boy' quests, I couldn't help but admire the work that had gone into making sure even that one little area that I saw worked like clockwork.

This is my second experience playing NWN2 multiplayer. The first was another PW - Forgotten Realm, but, while initally, I was happy and contented, I soon discovered that it had a very "MMO" feel to it. So, after logging out and taking a break, I came back and discovered Sundren.

My RP history includes simple Forum RPs all the way to hard core D&D PnP games. I play a 4.0 game right now with an unaligned elf ranger named Urdan Darkleaf. His parents were killed by an orc tribe near their mountain home, and his sister went missing. He keeps hope that she is alive because he never found a trace of her death. He developed a bit of a macabre habit though, because of it, where he murders the people connected to that tribe in any way in very grotesuqe ways.

However, my Sundren character is a stuidous elf by the name of Isendil Ginfer. He is a wizard in every sense of the word. He believes that magic is inherently goverend by laws, and by discovering these laws, it can be better controlled and used. In this way, he seeks to bring magic: a privilidge enjoyed only by the rich or by people with talent such as his, to the poor, lesser folk. And that's the way he'd say it, too. He lacks the humility that would temper many people, so he comes off as arrogant. Still, he isn't mean, just a little too self-centered. He'll still help the downtrodden individual.

I'm not sure what else to add here. I have viewed the articles on the Wiki (especially Sundren being 'low magic,' giving Isendil's goals ligitamacy), but I know I missed some things. Hopefully, I'll learn the details quickly enough. I look forward to seeing people live.

    Cool. Fresh meat.

Welcome. When you discover the Druid Glade, be sure to wear nice soft leather boots.... or better, go barefoot, yes, that's it. And don't mind the badger - she's harmless.
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
    Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

Welcome to Sundren, I hope you enjoy your stay and if you see me and any of characters seem stressed, don't worry about it it's just me being in the middle of a move, ... on and being a homicidal psychopathic bitch.. or both. Depends on what I want to blame it on.
Lately the only thing that keeps me from wishing for a worldwide disaster... is that it would probably interrupt my network connection

Well, thanks for the warm welcome. I need to amend my post though. It should say IF I can get on. As of late, NWN2 is giving me grief over logging into the server.

        Stupid -unintelligible muttering-

Ah another person from TFR. I know what you mean, Sundren is a in a whole new level of RP and definitely not MMORPG-style server.
If you are fan of hardcore roleplay, this is your place in NWN2.

The logging part is very problematic for myself as well, there is a temporal issue with router I believe and it's causing these transition crashes where you can't get to server anymore, but I believe it has pretty high priority and will be fixed soon.

          Cer'wyïl Durothil - Mix-breed noble elf
          Tredonael - The shapeshifter

Calewyn Gil'Fang - Wood elven archer
