Played in a DnD campaign (2nd edition ftw) for 3 years, same character in a very low magic world. Love the DnD ruleset, though favour 2nd over this 3.5 stuff heh.

Besides the good ol' I like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners.

Long history of MMO playing and MUDS, played them/beta tested them all.

I've just come from playing Age of Conan (what a dissapointment) and looking for something with a bit more, content, so to speak.

Look forwad to getting along with some like minded individuals and both roleplaying and a bit of dungeon crawling here there.

I also started D&D in 2nd edition and loved it, more than 3 or 3.5. I recently had a chance to play 4th edition rules though and OH MY GOD they are awesome!. When they say it is designed to be easier to "pick up and play" they mean it. You don't need to know 120 rules just to learn each classes.

In short every character has "encounter actions", "daily actions", and "At will actions". Even wizards don't memorize anymore ... the more powerful the spell the higher up it in in the actions. so a magic missle would be a "At will action" but a fireball would be an "Encounter action" (meaning once per encounter). Other more powerful spells would be "daily" actions. It also means that finally a wizard can cast any spell they know ... just some take longer than others to do more than once.

I can't wait for the next D&D computer game that uses these rules they show great promise. Check em out sometime if you get a chance, they sound odd at first but they do work very well.
