Yes... praise be to Microsoft and the faulty Xbox 360. Without it I wouldnt have picked up my copy of NWN 2 again to pass the time while my 360 is mailed to the repair factory.

I tried starting the campaign over again... but honestly I ran through it about twenty times when I first got it, so my attention could not be kept.

Then I remembered about Persistent Worlds.

I am not looking for "hack and slash"... If I wanted that I would have stuck with the campaign.

I am looking for a place filled with intelligent people with too much time on their hands.

And role play has always been a fascination of mine... so I am on the search for that as well.

I found this place...

I dont know yet if I will be here to stay... how compatible I am with the strange mechanics of this PW... But I will give it a good run and see if I get hooked.

I'll be checking in... as soon as the updater is finished.

You wouldnt happen to know the good/evil ratio of characters on this server would you?

It tends to fluctuate a lot depending on different servers... I tend to be drawn to evil.

Mainly because it is much more fun to role play an evil character. *evil laughter*

But some PW's support evil, and some dont.

And by "supporting evil" I dont mean stopping yon righteous paladin from trying to smite every evil character... that would be boring.

Half the fun of evil is having lynch mobs on your tail.

I mean are there evil institutions, places of refuge for those of darker souls... Because being the only evil character in a server of goody-goods gets really old really fast.

*gets nostalgic* I once had a PW of NWN 1 under siege by my evilness... My name became the curse on everyone's lips... I led an army of black armored soldiers into the city of righteousness...

And I also got killed on sight afterwards... for pretty much all the rest of the time I played that character.

But dont worry... I wont unleash my evilest character yet... I need to get a feel for the server before I bring him to bear...

Most of the big wigs among the evil gods seem to have a following around Sundren. Bane, Cyric. Oh, and there's a Thayan Enclave. So evil has its place hereabouts.
