  • Hail and well met! (is that still the saying?)

As I write this, I'm downloading whatever files the auto updater is pushing my way. I'm also hoping to not be disappointed in my on-line experience....

I've played NWN since before it was released... was a member of the beta test team. Was a Builder/DM on one Greyhawk based PW from late 2003 until early 2005. Ran my own campaign from late 2005 until fall of 2007, again set in Greyhawk.

Tried to start a similar approach with NWN2, only to be foiled by many of the things that probably hit everyone else, not least of which was the inordinate amount of time required to build.

Beyond NWN, I've gamed (D&D, AD&D, Rolemaster, etc...) since the late 1970s. Mostly been a DM for that time... it is something that I love doing.

Having said that, I'm now in my late 30s with a wife and job that are not conducive to a lot of gaming time. So, I'm hoping this PW will meet my needs, and that I won't find myself being the "ugly cousin" because I don't have hours and hours to burn into my PC.

Oh, and if my experience here is good, there's possibly four or five of my RL friends that might tag along.

    Well, hoping for the best....

    Welcome.

Always good to see another canuck.

It seems you have invested many hours into NWN as I have. I look forward to seeing your reaction to the product of almost two years of our hard work.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I think I'm the "ugly cousin" atm, so you're prolly ok

Just kidding, you can be the "ugly cousin" if you like. I'm ok with that.

      Glad to have you aboard.

Lately the only thing that keeps me from wishing for a worldwide disaster... is that it would probably interrupt my network connection

Please use a different forum/gamespy name going forward. Your name may indicate to some that you are a DM here, which is not the case. I regret any inconvenience this may cause for you, but I'm sure you can understand we want our users to have a clear path for help requests and issue escalation.

          Welcome, and good luck!
