I just wanted to let you all know that you've a new arrival in Sundren. I'll try and be brief in explaining that I'm fairly new to DnD mechanics, and have yet to actually role-play within a graphical RPG (most of my role play experience comes from an IRC medium, free form and the like). I popped in game for about fifteen minutes not too long ago, and wholly like what little I've seen of Sundren. I believe all of the apparent hard work that went into making this world merits me taking the time to create a believable character for the setting instead of just mashing together an idea and rolling with it as I usually do, so I'll be reading what information I can find on the setting(s).
I've kind of got my heart set on being a learned (as far as his religious teachings go), yet inexperienced young half-elf or human paladin. I wish him to be of some foreign city/country... possibly of the desert. I'm thinking Calimshan but I've yet to read up a lot about that subject. I have sort of a middle-east theme going on with him, I'm not sure why. And, I've not yet chosen a god as I can't think of one whom would be appropriate for the character. Any input on how I should go about tailoring my character to better fit into Sundren's lore would be much appreciated.
I apologize for not having been able to be as brief as I'd have liked to. But again, I'm sure it'll be a pleasure to eventually meet you all.
