I finally bit the bullet and bought MotB. Bit of a gamble as the only server I remember being in operation before it came out was "the forgotten realm" and safe to say that particular server is about as FR as my left nut. Reading about this server has got me to start the truly EPIC download and I can't wait to see if its worth it.

Hope to see you all in game when this update is done.


Few questions that are probably in the FAQ and I've not looked hard enough to find:

Is the server high magic? What's the average player's level? Are there lots of euro players?

You'll generally get pretty quick responses around here, if not from a DM or a Developer, than from one of the players here. This is a really great server if you're really interested in role playing, great stories, and quality content. If you are looking to hit the epic levels and 'pwn some n00bs' this probably wouldn't be the best place for that. In addition to the FAQ I suggest you take a look at the wiki, although it's a work in progress, it contains a lot of useful information about the Sundren area, characters, and some custom content.

Why would anyone play NWN to pwn noobs? :P I've got an xbox and hear enough of that trash when I'm trying to have a nice game of COD4 with my mates, haha. Oh god no, lol, not here.

I'd say the average level, of characters who are played for a while (not just created, played for a level or two and forgotten) is probably between 6 and 12, it seems pretty broad, but due to the high role play nature here, many of the players don't really focus on getting levels at all.

You'd probably be surprised about the n00b pwning, there are some servers out there that claim to be RP servers, but you get there and it's like 'yadda yadda let's go kill the stuff in that cave, then this cave, then that fort etc. etc.' In the end you see a bunch of people who are level 30 flexing their epeens under the guise of role play.

Anyways, I'm glad to see that you sound like you're more interested in the role play than anything. Hope to see you in game.

Unless you're an evil character and Hano crosses paths with you (or vise versa). He gets pwned pretty often and with ease.
