  • Greetings One and All

Just wanted to say hello. I am new to the game and the server. Just started my first character tonight. Brothergrim the cleric. Seems be going well. I want to try other classes. Would be happy to receive any suggestions or character builds for new players. Well hope to see you in game soon.

The BEST advice I can give you is that strong builds != strong characters. Sundren relies far more on RP than game mechanics. A level 15 Paladin that has served his entire life to protect Sundren will likely defeat the 1 Sorcerer, 1 Cleric, 3 Paladin, 10RDD build. Or whatever it may be.

It's also far more rewarding to challenge yourself with 'weaker' builds.. At least it is for me.

Most importantly pick a role that you love most. See you in game!

Which means bards are the best =P
      Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.

Blasphemy! Bards are not weak! I'm having loads of fun with my old man cleric who has 8 con, a quarterstaff, and robes

Anyway like Lollercide said... find a role that suits you. One that you can truly see yourself playing a long time from now. A 'PC' on Sundren takes a lot of work.

Welcome!! I'm fairly new here and I have found this server to be above and beyond any of the other RP PW's I have tried in terms of community and, well, RP'ing.

An optimal build would be one that could adequately serve and buff me, just kidding.

But yeah, you'll have a much more fulfilling time if you shine through your RP'ing rather than your build here. Besides, 15 levels isn't really enough levels to make some over the top uber build (well I could be wrong, but I've never looked into it)

oh i agree Lollercide. I just don't want to create a build that is totally goofed up. I have played EverQuest and WOW and DDO. They are all a little different. Then you throw in the classes like Arcane Archer where there is a path you must follow to get them. It would be nice to see the other builds being used. Thanks for the advice.
