  • Well, hello nurse...

Greetings all! I stumbled on the link to Sundren from Theivesguild's website; this looks very promising.

I've been looking for a RP centered PW that has a fair amount of quests and balanced combat as well and DM events and is set in a FR setting that makes sense. I'm looking forward to exploring the server, and would appreciate any comments/suggestions to start out.

I'm thinking about rolling an elf gish (bladesinger would be fantastic to try out if the PRC ever gets implemented on the server someday) and would welcome any thoughts on how one might fit into this setting. I'd prefer a sun elf but I would guess moon or wood elves would be more likely in the area.

    thanks
PC - Corwin Eska'las (Sun Elf pursuing the dream of becoming a Bladesinger)

Alt PC - Brevin Smoothands (meticulously groomed half orc bard swashbuckler... sort of... sings great, less fighting)

Sundren seems to be a frontier in many aspects, albeit a very civil one, yet a frontier nonetheless. The clash of races has no real limit; any race can claim for having a valid reason to come here, I believe.

    Bladesingers are very awesome, though.

Welcome, I think you've found what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, it doesnt look like the PRC will be implimented here. Saulus has already said that he doesn't care too much for it. And I can see the DMs point--it would be just too much.

Hmm, your name is familiar. From the frontier, by any chance?

This server has the best players that ive seen so far, and the dms are the best as well. Hope you enjoy it, i definetly do!

I'd really appreciate feedback/suggestions with my PC's development with this as it's the first time I'm trying to RP a Bladesinger and I'd like to try to do it well, especially if any of the DMs or players are somewhat familiar with 2ed Bladesingers as well as the 3ed/3.5 ed versions (the 2ed elven culture/classes/prcs seemed much more flavorful than the watered down 3ed)

I can't quite bring myself to remember which book the 3.5 Bladesinger PrC is listed in. I'm looking for it right now, though. I wouldn't put too much hope into having the actual PrC implemented, though, but it might be something you can emulate by taking the available classes and just roleplaying it out. Oh! Found it in the Complete Warrior. Figures. I do agree that 3.5 was a little less generous than 2.0 with quite a few things, though.

CW bladesinger apparently is even weaker than the 3.0 Races of Faerun version or the Tome and blood version apparently. Sad to see the epitome of the elven warrior be reduced like this...

RP him as a bladesinger and build him like the standard gish. All the power there is, Ithildur. You know what I mean...
