I stumbled across this place while reading the NWN2 blogs, been browsing the threads for a few days now to get my bearings.
I've never done a Persistent World before, either in NWN1 or 2, so not really sure how to begin. I'm not new to RPing by any means, just my experiences are more with forum RP and with some RP communities in MMOs (I was in one for a few years on SWG) rather than PWs. I'm more of a reactionary RPer rather than actionary, so I don't tend to be very good with trying to jump into established groups (I'm sure everyone has their own little cliques here).
Just a few questions from me:
1) Walking-- do people tend to walk or run on average? I personally find walking to be more immersive, but I don't want to look like an idiot if everyone else is running around.
2) I've read something about having to submit a character bio in order to get the password to the server, though the thread that it was mentioned on was a few months ago. Is that still in effect? (I've not tried to log on yet) If so, where do I go to do it? I'm not talking about ECL races, I don't plan on playing one, but the thread I read did mention it was needed for all new characters rather than just ECL ones.

Oh, and I had some problems getting my account to work due to some kind of e-mail bug... it wasn't sending the registration e-mail despite the fact that I made sure it was correct (I was using a hotmail account), though it seems that by changing to one of my other e-mail addresses I was able to get the mail. If the forum admin reads this, they can ignore the Registration Problem e-mail that I sent.
