I thought introductions might be in order as the forums directed

I have been searching for a good NWN2 PW for some time now and this seemed like a really good match, just finished updating the files required.

Some of you might already know me from the NWN2 forums and to those that don't, Hello. Without further adieu I will log in and create my character.

Looking forward to seeing you all ingame.



Edit: Seems I will need the 1.07 beta patch, dont have that one yet *grumble*. More updating awaits, downloading now.

Hmm, in the end of the conversion process of updating I get this message:
"Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."

Sounds like you might have to reinstall NWN2, you have modified files from the original 1.06 or you weren't running version 1.06 when you updated.

Ack, the drudgery of these constant reinstallations and troubles

I do believe I might've had a couple of modified files on my 1.6 install, I applied the sundren patcher before the 1.7 patch in my folly although I did take great care in removing the files in my override folder before the patching.

I suppose a reinstall would be suitable, albeit unwelcome.

Going to watch some TV during the reinstallation process and pray for better luck next round.

Well, everything turned out for the better at the end. Got it working and I've been playing for about an hour and I must say I was positively suprised. Very impressive. Looking forward to playing more with you guys ingame.
