  • New to RPing

Hey everyone. I'm just another newcomer to the server and all. I've heard a lot of good things about this server so I decided to come check it out. I'm also new to role playing on NWN2 so I'll try my best to keep up with the rest of you guys. I will hopefully be able to get on and play with you guys in the next hour or so if I can get this updater to download the PWC which I'm having a bit of trouble with right now . But don't worry, it will take much more then that to deter me from playing.

Run updater. Play. Doesn't get much simpler. Oh and welcome.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Haha yea well it keeps giving me the message saying "Unable to download Sundren version info" so I'm trying to find the problem. I'll post in the Bugs forum if I can't get it to work.

Did you modify the default settings it gives you? It should be trying to connect to: http://www.fortressdesigns.com/sundren/pwc/

Nope, I didn't change any of the setting. Just double checked to be sure and the link matches.

http://www.fortressdesigns.com/sundren/pwc/ does this work for you? Should be a long list of files that make no sense.

If you can see that, the other options are your TEMP folder is not set for some odd reason, you have an internet zone blocking program running, or your disk is VVEEERY full.

WOW I can't believe it! It turned out to be my norton antivirus/internet security program. It normally gives me a heads up when it decides to block an application from accessing the internet but this time it decided not to... Well thats kinda embarrassing XD. That should have been the first thing I checked. Guess I'm getting lazy.
