  • Here's the ruckus

Know that you are reading an introductory message posted by a once-venerated individual characterized by extreme knavery and a cantankerous disposition.

That being said: I have a penchant for efficiency as well, and so I will ask right off: exactly why do I get booted from your server? Considering that I sat an downloaded the gig of files at an interminably slow pace and then made a decent character to start with, rather than just throwing together a tester, I would be very interested in learning what I could possibly have done to get the autoboot after such an investment? Is this commonplace in your organization - this autobooting of strangers? Or is there some way to ameliorate a case a mistaken identity or some other trouble of which I am unaware?

In the interest of expediting things further, I will note that I never once entered your game-world proper as my avatar incarnate. So, no, I did not irritate someone needlessly, or start punching an npc like some moron on bath salts.

Well, I hope this gets cleared up for you ... but maybe as R3 suggests it could be a restricted race/class issue.

Not as a Human Female you did not, however for future reference, At the top of the forums there is a Wiki link (lots of useful sundren info)

Human monk shouldn't get stuck. I take it you got a "You have been booted!" message. I doubt a DM was involved in such. Have you tried logging in since?

I occasionally get the "you have been booted" message, but it is always associated with my Internet timing out. Was there a pause just before being booted… as if your toon was locked?
                Cheers!

human females can't be monks - is that the implication to M's post there?

also, i did try logging in again, and remade a similar character, with the same sex/class/race layout, and still get the message. kinda bummed actually... you guys seem to have a really well loved world here, and that's the type of gaming experience I've desperately missed these years past (and why I switched to pnp after being so dismally disappointed with nwn2's mechanics and overall... lackingness)

Read the quote. You asked if you missed something and I said that you had not missed anything. As to the nature of you getting booted, I do not know what the issue with that is. Have you tried logging back in?

Interesting. How long does it take to boot you? Is it instantaneous upon log in, or are you in-game for a few moments before it decides to hemorrhage you?

Well, there is always the Help section in which you can post directly to the DMs and Devs of Sundren. If this is a mistake then they can fix it.

well, my lovies, it seems I am bereft of recourse for the moment at least. I'd love to play with the lot of you and weave tales as yet untold, but whenever i try to log in with a toon i get the boot. :/ so until i get off the auto-oust list I guess I'll go back to the half-finished campaign that came in the box >.<

                            happy hunting

I have been in game the entire time and haven't even seen any new names pop up on the "this player joined/left the world screen"
