    Greetings

    hello everyone. I finally decided to give Sundren a chance. I got tired of the same thing over and over on other servers. I am told I am great at RP, I did roll dice for quite a few years, so I am used to it. I have a few great ideas for PC's, some of which require Dm approval, but I like that. One of the other servers I play on, is over run with Genasi (mostly air) tieflings, and warlocks. It will be nice to play where the world is more true to the lore. I hope to see you all in game. have fun.

    P.S. Max level is 40 correct? Just so I know exactly how I want to develope my toons

    Hello, and welcome to Sundren. Current softcap is 20, with everything after that only obtainable via DM events.

Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.

      Well that causes some issues with some of my character ideas, but it's good to know. So how does the softcap/dm events thing work?

        Once you hit level 20, you can only gain experience from DMs. Events can occur at any time a DM is on and range from sprawling multi-week storylines, short personal events, general ambience, and sometimes silent watchman rewards for being troopers rping with ourselves(the players) for hours.

          Welcome to Sundren, I hope you enjoy yourself!

          As a side note, I've been told that 30 is the engines hardcap for PC characters, and progression beyond up to 40 is only possible for NPC characters. This has to do with the fact that MotB allowed for epic progression only up to level 30, as I understand it. The whole thing sounded kind of fiddly, and probably requires granted levels or some such. Though I'm not sure, I haven't tried to make a character over level 21ish myself at this point, heh.

            Thank you for explaining. I thought it was 40 as in the server list it says it's a level 40, so now I will re-think some of my char ideas
