Hello peoples! Been poking around for a good looking PW and looking at this one and how mature it is developed and thought I would give it a shot. I have been RPing a little over a year but not in a setting like this so it will be a bit new for me. Hope to see everyone around.

 Great! Welcome to Sundren.

 Don't join the Red-Blades.
 Or the Legion.
Or anyone who likes the color red in general.
 Or burlap sacks.

 That is all.

Look forwards to seeing ya ingame.

 Cheers,
 Kit

lol I will keep those in mind...though I am having my typical NWN2 character gen issue of not being able to decide what to make.

Clerics seem to be favored based on looking at PrCs and the like. Are they excessively abundant? What sort of class is lacking numbers?

I was considering making a spirit shaman for flavor...but I am not sure what RP freedoms would be allowed with such a class and it seems to have no real options for PrCs (not that I would necessarily take one...but the options are nice).

I most commonly in the past have played as wizards and am looking to vary it up a bit. Even if only a slightly different caster class such as druid or something.

More specifically I thought a spirit shaman necromancer would technically be the best necromancer...considering they commune with spirits on the regular. Sadly this class seems to have no real ability to pull off your typical raising dead/calling spirits necromancer...they cant summon anything beyond what a druid can which is nothing close to necromancy.

There a workaround for that I am missing or something?

I'll freedom your movement. You behave yourself. Please ignore him he is a hin and well, you know, the bolts don't quite tighten down on that particular model. Consider yourself fairly warned to avoid most all Sundren hin. They should come with a warning label but this is the best I can do for you.Originally posted by toupz View PostBe cleric and give my character freedom of movement just a suggestion ahaha just a suggestion ahaha

You're right about the Spirit Shaman, while there is RP potential for them being Necromancers, the way the class was designed in the NwN2 engine doesn't actually allow for it. From what I've heard they had a unique spell list not shared with Druids in PnP, but I've never seen it myself. I'm sure such spells could be added to the list, if one were son inclined to code it, but the spells would likely end up on the Druid as well, hah.

Anyway, welcome to Sundren, be sure to visit the wiki (besides having helpful information like the FAQ,, there's history, faction information and biographies of some PC's even!) Hope you enjoy your stay. Presea De'Ombre - Fist of the Broken Presea De'Ombre - Fist of the Broken

Yes, that is correct, they do not have their own list... and umm... no not happening, my project will allow for customized spell lists to an extent however it is not a real spell list and every spell on that list needs to be specifically coded.Ghal Narish, Battle-Mage
 Faucon De'Ombre, Triadic Knight
 Ulriel Gabrieth, Devout of Lathander
 Noril De'nor, Archer ...
Liem Ashcroft, Miner, Smith, and Weaponsmaster

Spirit shamans are full of flavour if you can cope with the broad spread of abilities.
Rogues are brilliant because they encompass almost every skilled adventurer; militant leaders, canny warriors, freedom fighters, thieves, traders, politicians, and occasionally the noble savant.Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

Yeah rogue is one I was really considering as well.

I have kinda boiled it down to Wiz/Rogue/Cleric as my choices...now to narrow that down to one XD.

I have been poking around the wiki and I really like the idea of some of the new spells and all that.

The original (or maybe second incarnation) of Tamara Roth was a Cleric of Torm. There were probably others, but none that stand out in my memory.Active
Reinamar Stormseeker - The bladestorm that must turn back the wind. Arkerym of The People, practitioner of the forgotten art, pariah.

Tyler Penleigh - Obligatory author insert, Red Blade Defender, sarcastic jerk, caring brother, loving fiancé, war criminal.

 Retired/Dead
Eirimil Gaelazair (Dead)- Bitter. Caustic. Abrasive. Egocentric. Probably right. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.
