I just recently beat Nwn2 and though id join a fun looking server. I am new to the whole role playing thing and Sundren. I still haven't decided on the character other then they will have Shizuka in the name. other then that, nice to meet you all! and hope to see you in game.

If I had any advice it would be to keep things simple. Have fun and be open to others stroies, learn from others, and try not to invest too much in how you want YOUR story to go, you will find the best stories are the ones were others help shape your path.

I think almost anyone on the server will go out of their way to help a new player.

Acorn and Atmo have said it! I suggest making a character that knows little about this world for your first, in some race and class that's fairly commonplace (human, dwarf, half-elf or so)

That way, you can learn along with your character when he or she asks all sorts of questions learn by doing. Once you know the setting you can then make a more complex character. UNless (like I tend to do) you've grown fond of the one you've been playing.

Welcome to Sundren! Keep your backgrounds simple, because I have found that most backgrounds become irrelevant after a character becomes involved in the current happenings. My character arrived not knowing a darn thing about Sundren, and it allowed other characters to shape her rollercoaster life.
