  • Hello..

    Hello, I have a question...

I use a custom UI [(slimgGUI)green], I ABSOLUTELY ABHOR the standard NWN2 UI, I noticed the chartacter sheet, modebar, and hotbar remain the standard UI on the server.. though annoying the character sheet and modebar are livable, but the hotbar is truly agitating. So, my question is, is there a way to get the hotbar (and possibly the character sheet, and modebar) back to my (greatly) preferred slimgui ones?

    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Bahlzeron

edit* p.s. for reference I don't use componai, or warlock buddy so ,naturaly, I didn't install those options with SlimGUI.

edit2* SlimGUI can be found here: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view...I.Detail&id=74

Sorry, we disable client overrides for various reasons. This would mean we would have to install a mod such as this for the whole server.

We do not have any plans currently to change the UI in such a manner.

Thanks for such a quick response..

however, the gui changes I use only change what I see.. and do not change any functionality.. nor effect anything server side... i.e. only cosmetic on my side.
and for reference all the rest of my UI changes in my override folder work just fine...(only those three are reverted back to standard) horizontal party/target windows, spell gfx changes (<- majorly reduces lag and is suggested by quite a few PW's to help with performance, and reduces crashing) also work just fine.

Also.. to work properly.. SlimGUI DOES NOT need to be installed serverside.. only client side as it doesn't change any function, only cosmetic on clients' screen.

      Thanks for you're time

edit* for reference I don't use any overrided except for UI/ whatever was autoloaded by the server.
edit2* I understand the reason you restrict override use.. but it's not working as all my overrides work just fine (except the three forementioned.) So which would mean the UI on only those three things was changed .

When I say overrides, I think you're getting confused... we don't permit UI overrides either.

then I'm sorry for wasting your time. You might wanna check to be sure that the override block function is working properly.. as when I was on only those three things were blocked. All the rest of my overrides worked properly.

          goodbye.

Unfortunately people were using UI modifications to do things like pick invalid race colours etc, so we had to disable them completely.

And I doubt any overrides you were using worked properly, but it depends on what they are. The important ones are blocked.

Like I said I understand that.. but my overrides were completey functional, so ya might wanna check to be sure the block is working properly.. I was only hoping to get help with the hotbar as the character sheet and mode bar are livable, but I see that's not gonna happen...
