I've logged onto this server long ago, but sopped playing NWN2 for a while. I've gotten back into it and this server looks like my kind of bag.

One issue I'm curious about - it says in the rules that solo-playing is considered farming. This seems unfair - I have very little time to devote to video game playing, and cannot guarantee I'll be able to play when a large number of people *of similar level* are on the server. How am I supposed to progress on a server where I cannot go out and advance my character because no one else is around?

    Answers, please.

    ..Wait a minute..

Before a DM says something massively excellent and sorts your worries out, I can say everyone does some soloing from time to time, but keep in mind that it's only a roleplay server when you, say, actually roleplay. And as people like to level, adventure and, er, do things, roleplaying in a group that.. Does things, is usually the way to go.
Sometimes you hit the land of "noone my level is on", and it's a sad one full of bleak sheep that eat one another for sport. But it's fairly well balanced out most of the time, though this past week and a half there've been an especially large number of new alts.

In general though, you can find someone to travel with you.
"Sir, we're surrounded!" "Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction."

Thanks for the input - actually, I was looking for a faction to join. The Red Blades sounds good - do you have any reasons why yours is A+?

I'm not in the Red Blades, I'm just brainwashed to say that every now and then by their psycho recruitment person.
        *Shakes fist at Lanemeyer*

All of the factions are good, but not all are extraordinarily active.
From what I've seen, it's just about the high and low tide of population interest.
I can remember times when the Triumvirate was overpowering due to the number of shiny armored men running about,
whereas more recently you have to deface a hundred statues of Tyr and say naughty things about his wife to find one.

There are good roleplayers in all of them, it's just finding them and getting into the crowd once you have.
"Sir, we're surrounded!" "Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction."

Soloing is not considered farming in every case, but if we see people consistently running around on their own killing goblins for hours, then we do pick up on the issue. Incidentally, character level advancement is seen to take a back burner here to good RP.

For the record, the general level of difficulty of this server is rather high for soloing, and you get less exp when you are sans-party. We like to encourage RP.

          Also welcome!
