New things and new players! I'm sure you'll love it here if you like good, high quality RPLorlen Locke: "Amazing how the righteous commit acts of tyranny and terror almost as beautiful as our own under their banner of "good". We merely call a spade a spade."
"If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly."

Woo Hoo!!! Glad you came too Cort! Hit me up and let me know what your character concept is. I've been throwing some stuff around in Vordan's. Let me know what the deal is yo!
To the memebers of this PW....
What are some good classes and races that mesh well on your PW? Any feedback will be appreciated!

Hello to the new folks
Since it's a low-magic PW, I think a few more warrior and rogue-ish types would be welcome. Also, mind you that there has been quite the number of additional feats/skills/spells and classes, and changes to requirements of existing prestige classes. Most of which can be found on the wiki or in in-game descriptions of the classes. Vordan's character creator might not give accurate results.

I usually don't play casters. I was actually thinking about a Fighter/rogue. Maybe a dwarven tunnel rat... I really love the surly dwarven RP.."If'n ye spit one mur word out yer mouth, yer teeth'll be faller'n!" LOL! I hope to have some great RP expirences here! Your world looks like a great place to get lost in the story....

If both of you are friends it might be worth playing a duo
Like a Paladin & Squire
A Priest of Mask and his rogue cohort or Bane priest and his/her Thrall (Xzar and Montaron)
A Rashemi barbarian on his dajemma escorting a shaman? (go for the eyes boo?)
Ranger & Druid companions
A monk and a Bard as street performers or acrobats
A swashbuckler and his herald
A pair of thieves pulling a two man con?
The list could be endless!Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

But in answer to your questions, I've only been back a short while but there are a lot of good RP options to be had. There are plenty of custom classes, feats, skills and activities. And the NPC factions, DM plots and new crafting system offer a lot of opportunity to define your PC and make them unique.
The spawns are fine-tuned for groups, so solo adventure with a rogue/bard would be tricky but group adventure fine. As part of a ready-made group you are lucky in that you have the option of planning your character around the strengths and weaknesses of your comrades.
Aye!
