Cant install motb =(

Hi.
Today i bought NWN2 + NWN2: Mask of the betrayer. I managed to install the game (not the expansion) and i started it up and it run fine.
But then when it came to installing the expansion i put the disk in and the autorun didnt come up, it sounded like it was going to load up the installer but then started making clicking noises. so i went into my computer and pressed the cd drive and it just froze my pc. including explorer.exe etc.
to cut the story short my drive isnt picking up the disk but every other disk works fine. I tryed the disk at my friends house and it worked there anyone know why this is happening?

Try updating the firmware for your drive...sounds a little strange though if it isn't the disk itself.

I assume you have tried just rebooting your PC? That fixes 99% of problems with no real explanation why
Is very weird that only that disc is affected though. Weirder that is works in another drive

Have you patched the game since installing it? If you did then you might have to uninstall and install nwn2 first, then motb, then patch....

If your drive flat out won't read the game disc and you can't run autorun.exe... and you've tried cleaning the disc then the only thing you can really do is try to return it, and if the store gives you a hard time then I would suggest contacting Obsidian directly (Do not even bother with Atari).

The other option which I will not explain how to do (and that means no one else should either) is to get another "copy" of the game and mount it using a 3rd party program, your key in your manual would still work just fine... and of course you only need the original NWN2 disc in the drive to play.
