  • Patch Problem (really Need Help :( )

I got a virus which I got rid of only by deleting the nwn2 of my computer and now I am trying to update the game after re-installing, it seems to start downloading and when it is going to install the 1.10.1152 (or something alike) it gives the message "could not verify file, download aborted".

    What can I do?

(Please don't say I need to re-install the game once again, I have already been wasting 1 hour and 30 minute putting the game back in and downloading Sundren Client files).

    Please help!

I've had this sort of difficulty with almost every patch. The only luck I've had is to download the patch manually, then unhook my internet, run the updater and let it patch from there. Even then that rarely works, so I find myself using the manual updater found here:

    Good luck.

Also, it'd probably be a good idea, upon an event of a reinstall, that you get the game all patched up and working before downloading all the Sundren files in case you need to reinstall again xP

That helps, especially the last post, that fixed my problem today.

--I also copy the files in my nwn2 folder to another one on my desktop, then re-install if needed then update patch and add the folders back into the nwn2 folder in your 'my documents'. Saves alot of time from the sundren client updater.

I'll try this thread info. Thanks, I am thinking about getting a new virus-protection, seems AVG is a piece of crap, it sometimes doesn't even heal the files you have (when you have it made to do it on auto) .

Just take it off your computer, its the way forward, no anti-virus software

Norton is too intrusive and too much of a hog for my tastes.

True enough, but only 3% as intrusive as windows xp and only 7% as hoggish!

                    Lies!

Norton is as gentle as an iron spiked dildo to my computer.

Keep that forked tongue stored away Kaldaris! If that is the case, then your computer itself must be some terrible threat of a virus/adware/spyware type kind to the rest of us. No doubt Norton is performing a pre-emptive strike!

I like NOD32 myself, I can't think of any problems that have ever surfaced because of it.

I know this is a bit late for those that had the problem but the offical NWN2 forum has some info if anyone else gets the problem:
