Does anyone know what the equation is for saves against a Sorceror's spells in nwn2?

I know that in nwn1 it was -something- like:

Half caster's charisma value + spell level + modifications from feats etc VS target's fortitude/reflex save

Is that how it works in nwn2? anyone know if it's changed?

    Moved to NWN2 General discussion.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

      10 + Spell Level + Charisma Modifier

16 Cha (+3) Sorcerer casts Burning Hands (1st Tier)

      10 + 1 + 3 = DC 14 Reflex save for Half.

Save is vs. Whatever the spell says it's against.

Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."

10 + ((Murderous intent of Sylloven 1-9 scale)) + ((How styling she looks while she kills you))

        10 + 9 + 8 + 2 (Spellcasting Prodigy) = Your ass blowing up XD

10 Base + Spell Level + Primary Attribute Bonus + Feats

Spellcasting Prodigy is a +1 DC deepshades, since it's an effective +2 to attribute, which equates to a +1 bonus.

Spell Focus is +1, Greater Spell Focus is +2, Epic Spell Focus is +3.

I didn't include the feats because the feats state specifically what they do, whereas Spell Formulas aren't in a more conspicuous place.

That makes much more sense, thanks.

A second question; if a sorceror were to take Arcane Scholar as a prestige class, would Charisma remain the modifying attribute, or does it switch to Intelligence?

No chance. Loathes the undead, for background reasons

Just thought of another question actually (sorry!). What's the max bonus you can get from Charisma? Back in nwn1, there was a hard cap on the bonus of 16 (from having 42 charisma; you could get more charisma after that if you really wanted but the bonus remained 16). Obviously you can't get 42 charisma in Nwn2, not until they release the next expansion anyway, but does anyone know what the hard cap is in Nwn2?

Hard-cap is technically +20 (at maxed stat of 50), but good luck getting there. The best I can manage to swing with a legit character is a 46 intelligence on a sun elf (Namely, the OC/MotB Eirimil). GO GO.

Eirimil Gaelazair (Dead)- Bitter. Caustic. Abrasive. Egocentric. Probably right. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.
