I am very unhappy with the changes that were made to the camera for MotB. Is there any way to get back the "non-follow" mode? I played around with it a little bit, but I really haven't had more time yet. I want to use character mode but I do not want the screen to turn when my character runs (I already have it turned off for character turning in place). Is there something I missed? Is there a switch in one of the config/.ini files that needs to be set? Is there a downloadable fix?
    Any help would be appreciated

I had the same issue when I first launched MOTB. Just switch to strategy mode (default is character mode). With the right settings(I don't have them in mind), you will revert back to the original NWN camera mode.

If you still have problems with the camera, you can ask me in game.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
I tried the strategy mode briefly, was so annoyed with that I didn't even bother to mess with it.

For the record; to swap modes and get back to the "normal" camera controls quickly, use the * on the num pad.

Been messing around with settings in stratagy mode. For whatever reason I can't get the camera to turn when the mouse hits the edge of the screen, even with that option turned on. Other than that I find it useable. Thanks for the help.

Make sure you have the camera set to follow your selected character AND have the turn on edge option enabled in Strategy Mode. If not set to follow your controlled character it will operate like a RTS and scroll at the edge.
