Got the same problem as every other server I have gone on.

That problem on this one is the same as any other

I enter the server and BAM......Stuck.

There is supposed to be a journal entry, an onscreen pop up, or something letting a player know the first one or 2 things they have to do ebcause that sets the player into doing things.

But this, this is just plain outright ludicrous.

I spent 45 min on the boat at the beginning of Storm Of Zehir, because the makers of the game/server didn'tlet me know where the door was or that I was supposed to rotate the camera.

I spent two and a half hours, going from place to place to place on one server, only to never have anything to do..yep you read that right two and a hald hours and never had anything to do.

in fact I have sunk over 27 hours into this game and I have yet to be able to play it. it's all due to the clearly inadiquite devs that program the game and or the servers who clearly do not know how to program a server that contain instructions.

I mean seriously they have a laungauge selction thing which has nothing to do with anything pop up on the screen, but yet they cannot put pop ups that contain instructions that have a fully detailed expalanation about what purpose the launguae thing has to do with the game and how it connects to anything in teh game as well as an example of why and how you would use it.

Whomever put it in the game, is responsible for explaining how to use what they put in.

Me as a player am supposed to be being supplied with, fully detailed spoon fed hand held instructions about the first 1 or 2 things that have to be done upon entering a server..

Right now I'm stuck at the beginning of Sundren and have no clue why I can't leave the area as well as there are no instructions on how to leave the area I am trying to walk around to find the path but tehre are invisible walls in all directions.

Seriously who thought it would be a good idea to plop a player into the game and not let them leave the area and or provide absolutely no instructions for getting out.

Now I'm bored with this server because like the rest there is nothing to do and you get stuck.

And for anyone that wants to claim the usual it's easy or the game is not for you type of comments. You cannot hold me for the game makers and or server makers screw up.

It clearly is not that easy otherwise this topic wouldn't have been made. On top of that anyone says it's easy already has the instructions for playing...something that is non-existent for me. The whole game and all it's expansions plus every server needs a complete overhaul that adds in all the missing instructions.

and what's funny is no one thinks instructions are missing (Again that is all coming from everyone who already hass the information).

The game comes with a manual that tells you how to play. Sundren's character create/select screen is full of information about the server and where to get more information. It's all right there on the screen, no special navigation required.

I think that the problem is that you're lazy and don't take the time to inform yourself about the server you're trying to play on.

Again right now I am in the starting area of Sundren and have no clue why I cannot exit th area or how to do it.

I just had some moron come in and try to tell me I am somehow magically supposed to know to click an option a player has absolutely no way of knowing. Which is the afk button.

Excuse me but when the makers of the server care to inform me of all this stuff tehre is no way to know i really d not want to hear it feom anyone. All of this is the devs and or the makers of the servers fault for not informing me of anything that allows you to play.

Right now all I want to do is leave this starting area...someone is going to have to come into the game and type out the entire procedure on how to exit this area.

So again someone needs to go over in full detail the exact procedure for getting out of the starting area on the sundren server because it's rather getting highly annoying having to repeat myself to people who think there is nothing wrong with dumping a player into a game with nothin and no instructions then saying you shoudl know how to exit the area..and doing nothing but being a smart ass.

Want to help me, then explain how to leave the area.... and don't bother saying talk to someone because that doesn't explain anything... Detailed instructions.

Don't know why teh devs thought this was a smart idea to leave a player stranded but it's frigging annoying.

It does matter, actually. If you've picked one of the ECL races, you'll be stuck in the loading area because they're not a race new players can pick.

And if you look in your inventory, there is a book that will tell you what you need to know. Also, before joining a server, it's always a good idea to look at the forums and the wiki page if there is one to familiarize yourself with what you don't know.

It matters because ECL races and certain classes are restricted without DM approval, and you won't be getting out of the actual Sundren starting area without DM approval.

Secondly you aren't in the starting area, you're in the AFK room. Which is an area of the server only accessed by pressing the AFK button, a button on your User Interface that's small and has a little note above it when you mouse over it that says "AFK". You wound up in there because you started playing with stuff saying "What does this button do?!" Then came on the forums to bitch out the dev's for designing a convenience for your sake, claiming that it's their fault that you're ignorant.

If I had any instructions for you; READ would have to be foremost among them. In the center of your Sundren added UI is a button that says AFK, in all caps.

There are ways to go about finding out information, and there are ways to go about insulting the people that populate and run the community you wish to join.

Here is some advice, go and trade your copy of NWN2 for something that is single player, something that will allow you to vent your frustrations without the risk of your, quite frankly, rude and disrespectful attitude polluting the atmosphere.

You realise that EVERY OTHER PERSON that currently plays NWN2 in ANY form, has EXACTLY the same info at their disposal that you have? So it makes me wonder exactly where the problem is, if it was an error on the part of the creators of the game, and this server, then I am sure that a great many more players would be trapped in the very first room.

What most likely happened is that you chose to ignore ALL the information that is displayed on the screen when you have to sit waiting for the Sundren files to download.

Having ignored that information you then did not come to the forum to read up on server specific rules regarding such things as restricted classes/races and other important info such as cleric domains.

Basically what I am trying to say is that YOUR ignorance is NOT our fault.

Go shoot people on team fortress 2 or something, I hear its pretty simple to learn how to play.

I never pressed AFK so no I'm not in an afk room. Again even if I did there is no information stating that.
