Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I'm a bit new and wasn't sure where to post it. I noticed in an old thread that some DMs were having lag issues with the "Examine" command and character sheets. Not wanting to necro a really old thread, I thought opening up a new one to share common tricks in NWN2 was preferable.
Lag-free Character Sheets in the DM Client
This one is bizarre, but easy. Before you examine a player, open your own character sheet, and move it to the side. Now, when you examine another player, their character sheet will open without lag. I have no idea why this works, but it does. You must keep your own character sheet open.
Keep Character Run Animation Smooth After Tab
You might have noticed that after you alt-tab the game, the character movement is "choppy" or "out of sync" with the ground/walkmesh. Unfortunately the only cure seems to be a relog, but you can prevent this by ensuring your character is standing still before you alt-tab. This appears to only occur if the character is already in motion when an alt-tab is performed.
