It's appreciated that people want to point out issues and help the server improve. However, as of late there has been a large stream of incoming 'bug reports' on all sorts of things that aren't bugs. My responses on those have been short and blunt - sorry about that - but if you look at the issues list it's rather sad to see how often things aren't bugs, and it gets tedious after a while.
So, a few things to consider before reporting something as a bug:
- If your issue concerns a mechanic of a feat/spell/etc that is not custom to Sundren, chances are that we can't and won't do anything about it
- If you aren't sure if something is working accordingly, re-read any relevant descriptions you have available to make sure
- If there is something you can't find in-game that should exist (like recipes or crafting components), that doesn't mean right away that it doesn't exist. When in doubt, ask. Don't make a bug report out of it.
- If you already know you're in an exceptional situation that caused the loss of something (levels, items, etc) and you need a remake to fix it, use the Help Request part of the forums, not the bugs section. Only if you're certain that it's a recurring issue you should submit a bug report
- When reporting an issue, be sure to be as detailed as possible. It needn't be poetry, but more is usually better. Think of anything that could be important: where you were when the problem occurred, what happened before it, who else was involved, what do you distinctly remember doing that might possibly be related, what sort of feedback did you receive from the server, etc. Be specific, but elaborate as well.
Thanks for considering
