Hello all,
I had an interesting use for Polt's UI, unrelated to teleportation.
The ability to study an area to make it familiar could have a use for scrying; in particular Locate Creature.
Currently, the Sundren interpretation of the spell acts more like Scying, "providing you the area that the creature is currently in".
If the spell fails, it often states that 'the creature is in an area you do not recognize'. It is my understanding that this only fires if the target is in the fugue, or an area that the caster has never ever been and would get 25 XP for new area discovery.
It is my suggestion that perhaps the 'area study UI' could be used to ascertain familiarity with an area:
Very well studied: area name
Studied once or twice: general related map chain (Pioneer's Way, Cold Climb, Mossdale, etc.)
Not seen ever: Unfamiliar
Comments, questions, concerns, critiques;
Cheers,
Kit
