  • Disguise (and disguise self)

I'm putting this here, just in case it was intentional, if it wasn't intentional, then I guess it should be a bug .

When someone uses a Disguise self spell, unless they have the little floaty head blinking over top of them, they CANNOT be spotted - you can target them, and roll a spot check, but you only get a normal roll, not a message that says you succeed or fail.

I'm not sure if this is what was meant originally or not, but if someone who is in disguise is walking around and isn't acting different or slips up in their overall performance, and they don't have that thing blinking over them, you can't challenge them with a spot. I tested it out with someone, and even if you have the spell active, it doesn't recognize that you're in a disguise unless you have the graphic over head (ie, you can't roll the disguise skill, it says you have to be in a disguise - my gnome looked like a hin at the time and it gave me that message ).

If it's an oversight, then I guess it's a bug. If it isn't, than shouldn't we change it - I know the floating disguise graphic is annoying and people turn it off, but when they do, they can't be challenged anymore.
