The village of Helverton destroyed

Word circulates that a Helverton, small farming community in the far South of Sundren, has been entirely devastated. Refugees who escaped the destruction have turned up in a few places, riddled with disease and babbling about a man in black and purple who struck people down with plague and shadows. The refugees all died soon after, and there are those who say that their diseased skin oozed shadows. All those who came into close contact with them have been quarantined though, and the authorities are tight-lipped, so the truth of the situation is hard to discern.
