As of late, several unexplainable kidnappings have been taking place at random around the Sundered Valley. Reports come in from the capitol city itself, Aquor, Sestra, and even as far as some travellers arriving via Gate of the Sunderer or Port Avanthyr. Authorities are uncertain if the victims can be linked (they range in race and age, profession, and background), and there have been no ransom notes or warnings prior to the abductions. None of the victims have returned since being abducted.
Mages attempting to divine or scry the events receive no information despite their efforts, and there are no traces of magic or physical presence left behind in the victims' wake. There is no current lead in any direction, but the kidnappings have been slowing down as time progresses. Authorities advise all individuals to always travel with a companion, or stay within sight range of guardsmen or in a populated area. Any information leading to the capture or divination of the perpetrator is welcomed, but the authorities warn against actively pursuing them at all costs.
