In outlying villages and in the smaller towns, especially Sestra, various citizens (most of whom haven't been seen much if at all before), spread the following rumour.
"Apparently there was a Talking troll in the forest. It tried to talk to some man named Hold, and he attacked it, not caring one like that it was a talking troll! And apparently it was killing off the gnolls in the forest to boot! I'm telling you, a talking troll on our side would be a good thing, but this nut starts attacking it without any thought. I certainly hope he isn't guarding my home!"
When questions of speculation occur some of the people simply state that if they don't believe the story, they should talk to a man named Duke... he apparently knows the story and thought the man Hold was acting a bit rashly.
