A letter is delivered by courier to the Temple sometime in the evening. It is a simple sheet of folded vellum, sealed with wax and imprinted with House Jorandur's signet. On the outside is written the simple line "For Hano".
The surface is slightly wrinkled, as though parts of it were wet at some point, although the ink has been cunningly corrected to be straight and free of any splotches.
Dear heart,
My mind and soul have been troubled lately. I needed time to think, and pray, and try to resolve the burdens that weigh so heavily on me. It was foolish and selfish not to tell you sooner, but I did not want to trouble you. In retrospect, that was quite stupid of me. I know that you forgive me, and love me still, but it does not absolve me from my poor decisions.
I will soon be returning to Sundren. By the time this letter arrives, I may already be there. It is not known to me how long the Loyal Fury will ask me to stay, or how much help I can be, but I will soon be back at the temple.
Give my regards to everyone, especially Osclow and Annie. I hope their course has been a little smoother.
No matter how confused or anguished I have been, you were never far from my thoughts. I very much wish to see you again, and I love you.
