A formal report is left on Sergeant Pyke's desk in Daniel's distinctive style of writing. He seems tired when he wrote it, causing it to be slightly less legible than most of his writing, but it's still easy on the eyes overall:
'Sir,
There has been a series of events, starting before I joined the guard, involving a strange set of magics that seem to copy the appearance of a creature and then create a non-physical copy of them. Though negotiating with the creatures was difficult as they would attempt to act exactly as their original blueprint, be killed before sense could be derived from them, or simply act too fanatic to be understood, I could infer that the creatures were in fact illusions. Their choice in victim seems random, as they've copied a drow, a tiefling, a fighter of Sune, and a cleric of Helm in that order. They may have a relation to the orc attacks as I noted in another report, but such is simply speculation. I will attempt to learn more information if the phenomenon reoccurs in my sight.
Signed,
Recruit Reyer'
