On behalf of Aidous Rayne, I have been authorized to dispatch this missive to you. The information within is sensitive; please ensure it does not fall into the wrong hands.
Two avenues of investigation have turned up concerning the criminal you captured and the cult he was supposedly tied to. One, the recent murder of Tabor Tresk, a wealthy merchant in Avanthyr; his body shows signs of ritualistic sacrifice. Second, Northern Watch scouts have located what they believe to be a cult site. Unfortunately, efforts to confirm this have been unsuccessful; scouts attempting to penetrate the camp never returned.
Tresk's murder scene is secured by Lady Blackburn's personal guard, but it is only a matter of time before evidence begins to degrade. The potential cult site has shown increased activity of late as well; we suspect its residents intend to relocate within the next few days. Master Rayne has therefore requested the Freelancers to decide where their efforts would be best applied while other agents are dispatched to the remaining location.
