Scrolls encircled by twin bands of dwarven steel are delivered to the trade and labor guilds of Aquor. They read:
It has been many months since my kin stood together with Blackwood and the Enclave, casting the tribesmen of Auril back to their ancestral homes. A day hard fought. A day of triumph and loss. We marched with shared desire to see Aquor prosper once again and with promise that all vesting themselves in Aquor's prosperity would find themselves with a voice in its governance. Despite being denied the entirety of our vision, Whurest remains as steadfast in its commitments as it did that day.
We lay before the Enclave our thanks for their efforts in stabilizing Aquor after the Aurilite occupation. However, by their own admission, the Enclave lack the base of skill and expertise to continue Aquor's path of growth alone. Great wizards and artisans they have many, diplomats and authors of even-handed policy they sorely lack.
In reverence for those who fell and in duty to those who remain, we cannot allow Aquor to regress nor fall stagnate. War-drums continue to sound within the valley and we must gather our strength. We must not let the products of our labors, or those of our forbearers, be seen as if ripe produce, ready for the plucking by any would-be tyrant or dictator turning their eyes to the North in greed.
It is upon the foundation of commerce and labor that cities prosper. By our hands. Through our craftworks. The time is now for us to choose a new leader for Aquor. One with whom we can stand with together in federation. A leader who, in cunning and wisdom, will not seek to merely stand upon the prosperity we create through our many labors, but rather work actively to provide us with services and incentives which allow us to grow our own holdings.
I invite you to stand together with River Swift and Whurest as we endeavor to move Aquor forward. Striding beyond the war which has defined and divided Sundren Valley, continually undermining the efforts of men and dwarf alike to establish honorable trade and seek prosperity for ourselves and for our people.
Stone and good trade keep you.
