A sending spell is sent to the Elite Magus, Aeron Ancrath. Kept short and simple, it only seems to leave word that a certain one armed elf has left a far longer letter at the shrine in the Viridale for him to retrieve.

Please forgive the abrupt sending, and with lack of explanation to why no less. I couldn't fathom summarizing all of this over magic spells without both of us being glued to a stack of scrolls for quite a while. I'll need further forgiveness still, this issue is not just yet the orb that we discussed last time.
Have you ever heard of a 'demon orc', Aeron? I'd thought such a story could only be conceived by the most fever plagued, or sailors with over-active imaginations. Maybe farmers sons. But alas, several times now I've found evidence to the contrary of this being simply fiction.
Thankfully that evidence is solid enough for myself, and Thane Stonewhisperer to launch a full out investigation. Aeron, I know you like to watch the goings on of the valley, but I need your help. Your mastery of divination will be a massive boon to us and while I can't say I have seen a 'demon' orc, I've seen enough to realize that darker and far more intelligent forces are at work producing these disgusting abominations. They can't be allowed to be manufactured.
I have with me a vial of blood, taken from my last encounter with these beasts. It's still fresh only thanks to a gentle repose spell across the glass. Will you help me in this?
I can only presume the answer is a yes, and it comes fully with my thanks. I know where I'd like to begin if it helps, though the manner of spellcraft and components is something I can not claim. I think if we can manage to scry upon its heritage though, we may have a first step. A means of tracking this back to a source. I'd like to confirm if this is really the work of any demons. And if it is, what lord or true name we may be able to gain. If this is something we may even accomplish through their blood, please let me know. And please, let me know if there's anything in materials you think I may be able to gain easier then yourself. I promise compensation, no matter what I must do to obtain it. This unnatural filth must be exterminated, both by my elven blood and my sworn nature as druid of these woods.
This issue is far from as private as I'm sure our foe would like it to be. Or perhaps they've grown so brazen as to find the veils of subtlety no longer necessary. Please, feel free to bring to your aid anyone of your choosing. I'm sure any of your apprentices would enjoy the work.
